Motourama Part 17: Come to Krakow!
Hello family, friends and followers! Today’s Travel Story will be a more visual one, depicting the sights we enjoyed the most during our short stay.
In the old city centre, horse carriages were abundant.
The central market in Krakow. As touristy as it looks, but nice architecture.
An interesting café with an art gallery on the first floor. The name is Loch Camelot.
Wisdom of the day. An example of “art” from the art gallery on the first floor.
Esben at work.
As we said, horse carriages were abundant!
The town hall tower with a huge head in front.
A bona fide Polish nun.
Lunch (almost) in the rain.
The dome in St. Peter’s and St Paul’s Church.
A weird lady outside St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Church, plucking flowers from the church’s garden.
A knight in shiny armour, on his way to fantastic quests and heroic deeds.
The street market after hours.
Afternoon lounging at the river side.
Getting the day’s catch. We also saw a big fish, but it was belly up in the water. Not a good sign.
Denise feeling at home, as if it was the channel in Münster.
The Church on the Rock.
The Red Fortress of Krakow with restaurants in front, floating lazily in the water
Entrance to the fortress complex.
The view from the wall, overlooking the park stretching between it and Vistula.
Fortress life. Even more lounging.
The royal palace, Wawel, hidden away behind the fortress walls.
Esben at work again.
A sculpture of the dragon that is said to live in a cave under the walls.
Bird’s view of the fortress and the Wawel castle.
Vistula bending into the sunset.
The Father Bernatek Footbridge. The sculptures are portraying gymnasts, hanging on cables, seemingly defying gravity.
We hope you got a taste of Krakow in this visual experiment of ours. We definitely enjoyed experiencing this nice town.
Until next time, come to Krakow!
